The dill plant is a sun lover, so be sure to plant them in areas that has access to full direct sunlight to enhance it's growing process. An ideal distance for planting the seeds is eight to ten inches in between to ensure hardiness of the plant. The dill plant has a variety of uses. It's yellow flowers can be used for decorative purposes while the seeds and leaves can be added to salads and dips. Dried leaves are the ones used to garnish and add a distinct taste to any recipe.
Basil
The basil is one of the most commonly grown and most popular herb plant by far. This plant is suited for growth in rich soil and dry air. The perfect season for growing the basil is the spring months as this plant is very sensitive to cold temperatures. When planting the basil, leave twelve inches in between plants to ensure that each plant gets enough water and nutrients that will help enhance it's growth. Also remember that it takes six full weeks for the basil to shoot leaves and that is the ideal time to collect those leaves for use in cooking.
Lavender
The lavender is considered as one of the most attractive and aromatic herb among the rest. It produces soft and delicate pink and purple flowers nested on very high stalks. A lavender's use is mainly in the aromatherapy area because of it's wonderful fragrance.
